Peru to play Mexico and Canada in September‑October friendlies
The Peru national football team, coached by Mano Menezes, has scheduled two international friendlies as preparation for the South American World Cup qualifiers and the road to the 2030 World Cup. The first match will be against Mexico on 29 September at the Sport Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey, United States. The second friendly will be versus Canada on 3 October at the Saputo Stadium in Montreal, Canada. Both opponents are recent World Cup participants – Mexico hosted the 2026 tournament and reached the round of 16, while Canada advanced to the quarter‑finals – providing a high‑level test for Peru ahead of the upcoming qualification campaign.
