Perugia university gets €410k furniture upgrade and new advisory council
On 8 July 2026 the Umbria regional government approved a €410,000 allocation to renew the furniture in the Agraria College university residence in Perugia. The funding will replace furnishings in 106 rooms (210 beds) and the spending has been postponed to 2027 to coordinate with planned energy‑efficiency works.
The following day, 9 July 2026, the University for Foreigners in Perugia inaugurated its Consulta del Territorio, a three‑year consultative body designed to link the university with regional institutions, cultural and economic actors. Chaired by Rector Valerio De Cesaris, the council includes university staff, local officials and representatives from the regional government and chambers of commerce, and will advise on local development, knowledge transfer and graduate integration.
