Peru's Chamber of Deputies summons Labor Minister Juan Sheput

The Labor and Social Security Commission of the Peruvian Chamber of Deputies has summoned Juan Sheput, the Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, to provide reports on several key issues. The minister is expected to detail measures being prepared to address the El Niño phenomenon and provide updates on the reorganization of EsSalud and Sunafil.

Additionally, Sheput will address the modernization of the Peruvian labor framework in response to the advancement of artificial intelligence. He noted that the government is working to bridge the gap between university academic offerings and the profiles required by the private sector. To address this, the ministry is signing agreements with transnational companies to train workers in sectors such as telecommunications, the port industry, and megaindustry.
