Peruvian Army helicopter crashes in Amazonas, killing one

A Peruvian Army Agusta 109K helicopter crashed in the El Cenepa district of the Amazonas region on the morning of November 3, 2026. The accident resulted in the death of Germán Teylor Núñez Cabrejos, a second technician serving as a paramedic for a demining group.

The aircraft, registration EP-343, was conducting an external quality control flight over four minefields as part of humanitarian demining operations in the border area.
