Peruvian police capture armed robbers in Lima shop attacks

Police in the Lima district of El Partidor‑Las Lomas intervened after three armed thieves, one of Colombian nationality, robbed two adjacent stores selling fertilizers and insecticides. A chase and exchange of gunfire led to the seizure of a pistol and ammunition and the arrest of four suspects, including a woman and a teenage son, who were placed under investigation.

In a separate incident in the Los Olivos district, officers from the Emergency Squad stopped an armed robbery at a Coolbox technology store. The two suspects, identified as members of the criminal group Los Gatilleros del Norte, were apprehended after attempting to discard their firearms in the store’s toilets. Both men were transferred to the local criminal investigation department for further inquiry.
