Aston Villa Nears Completion of Pervis Estupiñán Transfer from AC Milan
Ecuadorian left‑back Pervis Estupiñán has agreed personal terms with Premier League club Aston Villa, with manager Unai Emery actively pushing the deal. Negotiations are now focused on the transfer fee with AC Milan, which seeks at least €13.6 million to avoid a loss after buying the player for around €18 million last season. Reported fee ranges are €15‑20 million, and a verbal agreement has been reached through agent Jorge Mendes after Emery’s phone call with the player.
Villa view Estupiñán as the primary replacement for departing left‑back Lucas Digne and hope he can contribute to their UEFA Champions League campaign. The move also reunites the defender with Emery, who previously worked with him at Villarreal.
Milan, meanwhile, is restructuring its defence and sees the sale as its first summer outbound transfer, allowing reinvestment in other positions.
