Pesaro police arrest two following car theft and high-speed chase

A series of criminal activities in Pesaro has led to police intervention and local government condemnation. Following a night of disturbances, three individuals stole a red Lancia Y in the Pantano district. The incident escalated into a high-speed police chase through the city center involving both the Polizia di Stato and Carabinieri.

The pursuit ended when the stolen vehicle crashed into a parked car and a Volkswagen T-Roc before hitting a wall. Two suspects, a 20-year-old and a minor, were arrested for theft and resisting public officials. A 40-year-old accomplice fled the scene and remains at large. The suspects were reportedly involved in previous acts of vandalism, including destroying advertising signs on Viale della Repubblica.

Pesaro Mayor Andrea Biancani has declared a policy of “zero tolerance” regarding these incidents. He has coordinated with local police to review surveillance footage from both public and private cameras to identify all responsible parties and ensure legal consequences for the damage caused to the city.
