Pesaro shoplifting suspects intercepted in Cantiano
Three Romanian nationals have been reported to authorities following a shoplifting incident at the Ratti bambino children's clothing store in Pesaro. The theft occurred shortly after 7:00 PM when two women entered the boutique and concealed various items, including footwear, in large bags.
Witnesses, including individuals near a nearby bar, alerted authorities and attempted to pursue the suspects. The women fled in a Volkswagen Passat that was waiting for them with the engine running, dropping some of the stolen goods during the escape. However, bystanders managed to record the vehicle's license plate.
Following an alert, the Urbino Highway Police intercepted the vehicle approximately 80 kilometers away in the Cantiano area. The occupants included the two women responsible for the theft and a male driver. Police recovered the stolen merchandise and additional goods of questionable origin from the car. All three individuals, who reportedly have prior criminal records, face charges of theft and receiving stolen goods.
