Pessamit home invasion leaves one woman in critical condition

A home invasion in Pessamit left three women injured early this morning, with one woman in her 40s in critical condition. According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), three individuals unlawfully entered a residence on Messek Street shortly before 5:30 a.m.

The victims, two women in their 40s and one in her 60s, sustained injuries ranging from light to serious, reportedly caused by a blunt object. The SQ stated that they fear for the life of the victim in her 40s.

Three suspects were apprehended later that morning in a vehicle near the Tadoussac ferry terminal. The investigation has been handed over to the SQ's major crimes division. In response to the incident, Pessamit Public Security has increased police presence in the community to ensure resident safety and has urged the population to remain vigilant.
