Pessamit home invasion and security response

Overview

On August 16, 2026, a home invasion occurred on Messek Street in Pessamit, resulting in injuries to three women. The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) reported that the victims, aged in their 40s and 60s, were struck with a blunt object. One woman in her 40s was left in critical condition, with authorities stating they “fear for the life” of the victim.
