Petaling Jaya bus driver tests positive for drugs after multi-vehicle crash
A tour bus driver in his 40s tested positive for methamphetamine following a multi-vehicle accident involving seven vehicles in Petaling Jaya. According to Petaling Jaya Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsudin Mamat, the bus, which was traveling from Shah Alam toward Petaling Jaya, lost control and collided with two vehicles, triggering a chain reaction with four other cars.
One man was injured in the collision and transported to Sungai Buloh Hospital for treatment. The bus was reportedly empty of passengers at the time of the incident. Investigations revealed the driver has 29 prior criminal records. The case is being investigated under Section 44(1A) of the Road Transport Act 1987, and the individual will be brought to the Petaling Jaya Court for remand.
