Pete Crow-Armstrong nears historic 40-40 milestone

Chicago Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong is approaching a historic milestone in Major League Baseball. During a recent game against the Reds, the 24-year-old hit his 45th home run of the season, tying the MLB lead, and recorded his 38th stolen base. This performance made him only the 10th player in MLB history to achieve the ‘40 home runs, 30 doubles, and 30 stolen bases’ mark in a single season, joining elite players such as Shohei Ohtani and Ronald Acuña Jr.

Crow-Armstrong has continued his momentum in subsequent games, recording his 39th stolen base against the Marlins. He is now just one stolen base away from joining the exclusive ‘40-40’ club (40 home runs and 40 stolen bases), a feat previously accomplished by legends such as Barry Bonds and Alex Rodriguez. He also joins a very small group of players to record at least 45 home runs and 35 stolen bases in a single season.
