Peter Obi criticizes President Tinubu over Nigeria's economic and security crisis

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has accused President Bola Tinubu of failing to manage Nigeria's economy and security. During a town hall meeting in Imo State, Obi claimed that the country is facing a collapse characterized by widespread poverty, hunger, and insecurity.

Obi reported that over 140 million Nigerians are living in multidimensional poverty and noted that approximately 18 million children are currently out of school. He further alleged that the administration has accumulated significant debt without providing improvements to citizens' living conditions.

Addressing national safety, Obi stated that Nigeria has become one of the most terrorized countries in the world. He also criticized the administration for the alleged theft and diversion of public funds, promising that his leadership in the 2027 general elections would prioritize national security and the protection of public resources.
