Peter Obi warns power crisis cannot be solved in four years
Presidential candidate Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Party (NDC) appeared on Channels TV with host Seun Okinbaloye to discuss the country's persistent power shortages. Obi said an uninterrupted power supply is not achievable within a single four‑year term, noting that blackouts have plagued Nigeria since the mid‑1970s and that quick fixes are unrealistic. He emphasized that lasting reform will require more than one administration, urging voters to temper expectations of rapid transformation and warning that past promises of rapid development have often fallen short.
