Petrila primary school to receive €2.5 million EU‑funded upgrade

The I.D. Sîrbu Gymnasium in Petrila, Romania, will be modernised through an investment of more than €2.5 million, of which €1.7 million comes from non‑repayable European Union funds. The project is financed by the municipality of Petrila and is planned to be completed by the end of 2028.

The upgrade will revamp 16 classrooms and four laboratories, introduce digital equipment and virtual‑reality learning tools, and improve accessibility for children with disabilities, creating safer and more modern educational spaces for the local community.
