Petrovietnam posts record first‑half 2026 revenue as oil output climbs

Vietnam's state oil and gas group Petrovietnam reported first‑half 2026 total revenue of about 734.7 trillion VND, a 49 % increase year‑on‑year, with consolidated revenue reaching 445.4 trillion VND (+39 %). The company contributed an estimated 88.9 trillion VND in taxes, up 27 %, and invested roughly 27.5 trillion VND, more than 70 % higher than the same period in 2025. Oil production rose to 5.5 million tonnes of crude (+14.2 %), marking the first growth in the sector since 2015, and total hydrocarbon output hit 8.7 million tonnes (+11.4 %). Reserves grew by 8.3 million tonnes, and three new oil‑gas contracts were signed. Electricity, fertilizer and gasoline outputs also increased.

Meanwhile, subsidiary PVOIL posted consolidated revenue of about 127.3 trillion VND, up 74 % from the prior year, and achieved more than 83 % of its annual revenue target within six months. Production rose 22 % to 3.464 million m³/ton, the retail network expanded to 1,037 stations with 87 new outlets, and the company began nationwide distribution of E10 bio‑fuel. PVOIL aims for 150.7 trillion VND revenue for the full‑year and is preparing to enter the aviation fuel market.
