Peugeot 408 sees market growth in Greece and upcoming launch in Taiwan
The Peugeot 408 is seeing significant market activity in both Greece and Taiwan. In Greece, the model has achieved strong sales performance within three months of its late May launch. As of the end of August, the 408 holds the second position in the D-segment Berline category with an 18.1% market share. When excluding purely electric models, it leads the category with a 39.5% share, representing a 136% increase in registrations compared to the first eight months of the previous year.
The vehicle is available in several powertrain configurations, including a 145HP hybrid, a 240HP plug-in hybrid, and a 213HP fully electric version. Its design features a fastback silhouette with crossover characteristics and the i-Cockpit interior.
In Taiwan, the updated Peugeot 408 is scheduled for official release on September 21. The facelifted model introduces design changes, including a new front fascia with three-claw LED daytime running lights and a redesigned grille. The powertrain is expected to continue utilizing the 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo hybrid system, which offers tax advantages due to its small displacement.
