Peugeot Marks 30 Years of Partner Van Sales

Peugeot celebrated the 30th anniversary of its compact Partner van, a model that debuted in 1996 and has sold more than 2.6 million units across three generations. The first generation set new standards for robustness, cargo capacity and driver comfort, while the second (launched 2008) grew larger and added efficiency improvements. The current third generation, introduced in 2018 and refreshed in 2023 on the EMP2 platform, incorporates the i‑Cockpit suite and offers gasoline, diesel and fully electric E‑Partner versions, with a hybrid variant slated for 2027.

At the IAA Transportation show in Hannover, Peugeot unveiled the Partner Pro Skill, a variant aimed at demanding professional environments with higher ground clearance and a Construction package. The brand also showcased the Partner Active, launched in June 2026, featuring a modular Flexiseat that expands cargo volume by up to 0.5 m³. The anniversary highlights the van’s continuing role in Europe’s small‑van segment and Peugeot’s efforts to expand the line for evolving professional needs.
