Peugeot unveils e-208 GTi electric performance hatchback

Peugeot has officially launched the production version of its e-208 GTi, an all‑electric performance hatchback. The model delivers 281 hp and 345 Nm through a front‑wheel‑drive system, sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and limited to a top speed of 180 km/h. It is powered by a 54 kWh (net 51 kWh) battery that offers a WLTP‑tested range of up to 375 km on Hankook Ventus S1 Evo3 tyres, or 352 km on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Pricing in the Netherlands starts at €41,990, with deliveries available from 18 June.

The design, overseen by design director Matthias Hossann, balances performance and elegance while nodding to the classic 205 GTi. The e-208 GTi sits 25 mm lower, is wider front‑to‑rear, and features flared wheel arches, a red pin‑stripe graphic, a new front spoiler, a gloss‑black diffuser, and 18‑inch wheels that echo the original model. It is offered in seven colours – Okénite White, Elixir Red, Miramar Blue, Nera Black, Cumulus Grey, Selenium Grey and Agueda Yellow – with a red‑accented interior and special Alcantara‑leather trim.
