Pfizer labour dispute in Catania draws national union response

Cisl national secretary Daniela Fumarola visited Catania and said the dispute with Pfizer over local jobs is a matter for the whole country. She called for a meeting with the ministry slated for the next day, stressing that losing production sites in Catania would be unacceptable.

Fumarola urged protection of all workers and highlighted the need for a united approach to keep Southern Italy’s economy growing, noting that the case extends beyond the city to national employment concerns.
