PGE Ekstraliga launches investigation into Stal Rzeszów president

The PGE Ekstraliga governing body has initiated disciplinary proceedings against Stal Rzeszów president Katarzyna Marszałek. The investigation follows the release of a recording involving a conversation between club officials and 19-year-old junior rider Franciszek Majewski.

In the recording, Majewski was reportedly told he was failing to meet expectations and suggested that if he did not improve, he would have to “hang up his kevlar in a barn.” PGE Ekstraliga president Wojciech Stępniewski described the methods used in the conversation as “reprehensible” and noted that the league is considering disciplinary action for those violating regulations regarding improper public conduct.

Stal Rzeszów management has declined to comment on the matter or respond to criticism from the media, fans, and the speedway community.
