PGN expands circular‑economy recycling and gas‑safety programmes in Indonesia
PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGN) broadened its corporate‑social‑responsibility activities across Indonesia. In Cilegon, the company partnered with the local government, Kertabumi Recycling Centre, National Geographic Indonesia and the Bank Sampah Al‑Bustaniyah to enhance a circular‑economy programme that turned 871 kg of plastic waste into value‑added items such as furniture, tissue holders and key‑chains. PGN supplied shredders, extruders and other processing equipment to boost production capacity and market outreach.
Separately, PGN conducted an interactive safety‑education session for micro‑, small‑ and medium‑enterprise (UMKM) operators in Bojonegoro, East Java. The training covered safe handling of natural gas, leak‑response steps and basic preventive measures, and offered direct contact details for technical assistance. Both initiatives aim to support local economies while promoting environmental stewardship and industrial safety.
