On July 30, the An Giang Provincial Police announced that Pham Thi Kim Xuyen (born 1997, Da Nang) turned herself in and confessed to organizing a large‑scale counterfeit‑luxury‑goods operation in Phu Quoc. Investigators say Xuyen invested over VND 5 billion to set up the business, hired Trần Thị Thanh Nguyên (born 2002) to act as the front‑person and registered the firm as Công ty TNHH Phú Quốc Factory.

The ring imported大量 counterfeit items bearing the Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Gucci trademarks from Hanoi to Phu Quoc for resale. Police raids seized more than 350 counterfeit products, including handbags and wallets, with an estimated value exceeding VND 1 billion. The suspects have been charged under Article 226 of the Criminal Code for infringement of industrial property rights, and the investigation, which began in August 2025, is being expanded to identify additional participants.
