Phú Thọ Education Department Refutes Cheating Rumors in 2026 High School Exams

Social media posts claimed that two students from Cao Phong High School in Phú Thọ province posted unusually high scores on the 2026 high school graduation exam, suggesting they had copied answers. The Phú Thọ Department of Education and Training investigated and found no evidence of cheating. The students' overall academic averages were above 7, classifying them as good performers, and the alleged post was removed after the account holder admitted the mistake.

The department also audited the entire province's exam results. Out of more than 47,000 candidates, 7,035 papers scored 9 or higher and 492 received a perfect score of 10. History accounted for the most perfect scores (237), followed by Mathematics (194). No exam rooms showed abnormal clusters of high scores; the room with the most perfect math scores (six) was at Vĩnh Phúc Specialized High School, but those students were enrolled in advanced math, physics and informatics classes. The department has recommended that the Ministry of Education increase the use of cluster‑testing arrangements, mixing students from different schools at each venue to enhance objectivity.
