Phú Thọ police help citizen recover 6.4 million đồng misdirected transfer
Police in Văn Miếu commune, Phú Thọ province acted quickly after a resident reported that a bank transfer of 6.4 million đồng had been sent to the wrong account. The officers verified the complaint, gathered relevant documentation and coordinated with other authorities and the recipient. By informing the recipient of their legal obligations, the police persuaded them to return the full amount voluntarily.
The victim received the entire 6.4 million đồng back and sent a thank‑you letter praising the police’s responsibility and assistance. The police also reminded the public to double‑check beneficiary details, account numbers and amounts before confirming any transfer, and to report mistaken transfers promptly to banks and police for guidance.
