Pharosyn raises $3 million for pharmaceutical commercial AI

London-based AI startup Pharosyn has secured $3 million in a funding round led by European venture capital firm Moonfire. Other investors in the round include Entrepreneurs First, Transpose Platform, and General Advance.

Founded by Cambridge graduates Stephen Cowley and Joshua Hampson, Pharosyn develops specialized AI infrastructure aimed at the commercial side of the pharmaceutical industry. Unlike many AI tools that focus on drug discovery, Pharosyn’s technology is designed to support strategic and commercial decision-making processes, such as portfolio strategy, market analysis, and competitive intelligence.

The platform aims to reduce the time required for complex strategic analyses from several hours to just a few minutes. By identifying correlations that manual analysis might miss, the technology helps executives manage resource allocation and business development. The company reports that its platform is already used daily by executives within the commercial divisions of top-10 pharmaceutical companies.
