Philadelphia Flyers defeat Colorado Avalanche 3-2

The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 at Xfinity Mobile Arena, marking their second consecutive victory after a difficult season start that included nine consecutive losses.

Matvei Michkov led the Flyers with two goals, including a first-period power-play goal and a second-period strike. Noel Acciari added a third goal for Philadelphia to restore a two-goal lead in the third period. Goaltender Joseph Woll earned his first win with the Flyers, making 24 saves.

The Avalanche, who fell to a 5-3-1 record, saw goals from Martin Necas and rookie T. J. Hughes. Despite outshooting Philadelphia 26-24, Colorado struggled to overcome the deficit. The Flyers' victory came despite an injury crisis that forced several call-ups from the Phantoms, including NHL debutant Cole Knuble.
