Philadelphia police and FBI search home linked to seven missing women

Investigators from the Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are conducting an extensive search of a property on West Chew Avenue in the Olney neighborhood. The investigation is connected to the disappearance of at least seven women, some of whom authorities suspect may be deceased.

During the search of the home previously belonging to erotic photographer and convicted methamphetamine producer Raymond “R. C.” Horsch and his son, Eugene Horsch, officials discovered a hidden safe behind walls and floorboards. While documents were reportedly recovered from the safe, the full contents remain under review.

In the backyard, teams unearthed bones, though subsequent reports indicate that these have been identified as animal bones. However, investigators also discovered adipocere, a wax-like substance formed during decomposition, which forensic experts note can be used to help identify human remains.

Authorities have utilized luminol to search for traces of blood within the residence and have reported positive chemical reactions. Human DNA recovered from the site is currently undergoing further testing. Eugene Horsch is currently being held on firearms charges as the probe into the missing women continues.
