Philadelphia missing women investigation

Overview

Philadelphia police and the FBI are investigating a residence in the Olney neighborhood linked to Eugene Horsch and his late father, Raymond ‘R. C.’ Horsch. The investigation follows Eugene’s arrest in June, during which he was allegedly found with fake federal credentials and the identification of a missing woman.

Authorities have identified five missing women connected to the property: Blair Tonzelli (missing since 2023), Nicole Fusaro (2018), Maribel Fresses (2018), Amy McHale (2016), and Gabrielle Amarando (2012). A sixth woman has yet to be identified. Investigators are reviewing a massive trove of digital evidence, including over 600,000 images, 70,000 videos, and 10,000 pages of writings. Some recovered footage allegedly depicts Raymond Horsch committing acts of violence against women, including strangulation.

Search warrants at the Chew Avenue home also revealed firearms, drugs, and large quantities of chemicals. In addition to the digital media, police discovered more than 20 containers of an unknown substance in a basement laboratory, which have been sent to a federal laboratory in Chicago for testing. While some recovered footage appears to show the missing women deceased, their bodies have not yet been recovered.
