Philadelphia police investigate home linked to seven missing women

Authorities in Philadelphia are conducting a major investigation into the residence of the late Raymond “R. C.” Horsch, a filmmaker and convicted drug offender who died in 2025. The property in the Olney neighborhood has been linked to seven missing women, five of whom investigators fear are dead.

The investigation gained momentum following a June 2026 incident where a U.S. Park Police ranger observed a distressed woman and Eugene Horsch, Raymond’s son, in an illegally parked vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered firearms, drugs, and fraudulent law enforcement credentials. Investigators have since recovered over one million digital files from the home, which allegedly contain recordings of women appearing harmed, dead, or unconscious.

Recent developments include the excavation of the backyard, where bones were discovered. The Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office is currently assessing whether these remains are human or animal and if they are connected to the missing women. While DNA evidence was located inside the residence, police have stated that no bodies have been confirmed at the site to date. Several women have been publicly identified in connection to the case, including Blair Tonzelli, Amy McHale, Maribel Fresses, Gabrielle Amarando, and Nicole Fusaro.
