Philanthropists donate over €190k to upgrade equipment at hospitals in Ancona and Ravenna

Arnaldo Staffolani contributed €40,610 to the INRCA hospital in Ancona, earmarked for a new medical device for the gastro‑enterology and digestive endoscopy unit. The donation was formalised at a notary office in San Severino and will strengthen diagnostic and care services for patients.

In Ravenna, lawyer and entrepreneur Paolo Strocchi, together with support from AIL Ravenna, provided €150,000 for a state‑of‑the‑art 4K laparoscopic column at Santa Maria delle Croci Hospital. The system, which offers a resolution increase from 2 million to 8.3 million pixels and expands colour depth to one billion colours, includes wireless monitors and fluorescence modes to improve surgical precision and training. Strocchi said, "Spero che il mio gesto possa favorire un attivismo positivo".

Both donations aim to enhance medical technology, improve patient outcomes and support medical education in their respective regions.
