Ferrero and Philip Morris announce major corporate and supply chain developments

Ferrero has reached a preliminary agreement to renew its corporate supplementary contract following negotiations with national unions, including Fai, Flai, and Uila. The agreement, which will be presented to workers for approval, focuses on business growth, industrial competitiveness, digital transformation, and sustainability. It also introduces enhanced welfare measures such as meal vouchers for certain sites, support for caregiver employees, and improved work-life balance services.

Separately, Philip Morris has announced the extension of its partnership with the Italian agricultural sector through 2035. Cesare Trippella, director of value chain and external engagement, highlighted the importance of long-term agreements with partners like Coldiretti to provide stability for farmers and support generational succession. While emphasizing investments in programs like ‘Digital farmer’, Trippella also cautioned against potential risks posed by evolving European regulatory frameworks and tobacco excise policies.
