Cesare Trippella, director of value chain and external engagement at Philip Morris, has emphasized that these long-term agreements with partners like Coldiretti are essential to provide stability for farmers. However, he continues to caution against risks posed by evolving European regulatory frameworks and tobacco excise policies, noting that such changes could threaten the legal tobacco sector and facilitate illicit markets.
