Philippine Airlines adds A350‑1000 to San Francisco and Davao routes

Philippine Airlines (PAL) received its third Airbus A350‑1000, registered RP‑C3512, at Manila airport on 5 August after delivery from Airbus in Toulouse. The aircraft joins PAL’s fleet of nine A350‑1000s ordered in 2023, with six more slated for delivery by 2028 and options that could raise the total to 23.

PAL will launch a nonstop Manila‑San Francisco service with the new jet on 5 August, operating three times weekly and daily from September. In August, the airline will also operate special Manila‑Davao flights on 13 and 16 August for the 2026 Kadayawan Festival, offering passengers a chance to experience its flagship wide‑body on a domestic route. PAL executives Lucio Tan III and Justin Warby highlighted the aircraft’s role in the carrier’s long‑haul growth strategy and its participation in the cultural celebration.
