Philippine Carabao mangoes arrive in Vancouver via Air Canada

One metric tonne of premium Philippine Carabao mangoes has arrived in Vancouver, Canada, following a two-day shipment from Manila. The cargo, consisting of 250 cartons, was transported via Air Canada flight AC018.

The shipment was a collaborative effort involving several public and private sector stakeholders. It was organized by the Mensch FilAm Corporation in partnership with the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Export Marketing Bureau and the Department of Agriculture (DA). Logistics support was provided by Airspeed International Corporation, while the TAM Group, acting as the General Sales Agent for Air Canada Cargo in the Philippines, coordinated the movement of the perishable goods.

The mangoes arrived in Vancouver on September 20 and cleared customs without issue. Fresh Makers Ltd., a Vancouver-based company, is responsible for distributing the fruit to supermarkets and institutional buyers across the Canadian market. The successful delivery is viewed as a milestone for Philippine exporters seeking to expand their global market presence for fresh produce.
