Philippines advances renewable energy through bioethanol support and investment forums

The Philippines is advancing its renewable energy transition through strategic partnerships and investment forums. The Department of Energy (DOE) has met with the Ethanol Producers Association of the Philippines (EPAP) to address challenges in the domestic bioethanol industry, specifically focusing on feedstock availability and supply chain constraints to ensure long-term industry viability.

Simultaneously, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) is organizing its 15th Energy Smart Forum. The event aims to convert energy momentum into concrete projects and investments, aligning with the Philippine Energy Plan's goal of increasing the renewable energy share in the national power mix. The forum is supported by the EU-PH Green Economy Partnership, a €60 million initiative under the European Union’s Global Gateway program.
