Philippines International Motor Show opens, showcasing electric vehicle launches

The 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) opened on June 4 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City and will run through June 7. Organized by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI), the four‑day exhibition featured 17 automotive brands under the theme “Forward in Every Drive” and attracted strong first‑day crowds.

The show placed electrified mobility at its core, with launches such as the Nissan X‑Trail e‑POWER, MG RX9 PHEV, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, Toyota Land Cruiser FJ and Hilux, Subaru Crosstrek e‑BOXER Hybrid, and Honda e:HEV lineup. Department of Energy Energy Utilization and Management Bureau director Patrick Aquino and CAMPI president Jing Atienza said the event highlights new transport options for Filipino consumers. In addition to vehicle displays, PIMS offered technology demonstrations, an aftermarket and lifestyle zone, and interactive activities for visitors and automotive enthusiast groups.
