Philippines Pro: Surfers compete at Cloud 9 in Siargao
The Philippines Pro, the eleventh stage of the 2026 Championship Tour, is currently underway at Cloud 9 on Siargao Island. The event features strong, tubular wave conditions influenced by Typhoon In-fa in the Pacific.
In the men's competition, Japanese surfer Connor O’Leary advanced to Round 2 after defeating Australia's Callum Robson. However, other competitors faced early exits. Olympic champion Kauli Vaast was eliminated in the Round 1 sixteenth-finals by local invitee Jayuard Alciso, dropping him to 11th in the world rankings. French surfer Marco Mignot was also eliminated in the opening round by Hawaii's Seth Moniz.
The competition window continues through November 10, with the final stage of the season scheduled for December in Pipeline, Hawaii.
