Philippines provinces hold inclusive celebrations for National Disability Rights Week

The provincial governments of Nueva Vizcaya and Bulacan marked National Disability Rights Week 2026 with a series of inclusive activities. In Nueva Vizcaya, the Department of Education and the provincial government organized Project BEST on July 23, featuring a spelling bee, storytelling in Filipino Sign Language, a talent pageant and a product exhibition showcasing crafts made by students from special‑education centers. Vice Governor Eufemia Dacayo highlighted that persons with disabilities have both rights and abilities.

In Bulacan, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office staged the “Basta Bulakenyo Kahit May ‘K’ OK!” program on July 22 at the provincial capitol gymnasium. The event included a singing competition with 20 participants, awarding cash prizes to winners, and Governor Daniel R. Fernando reaffirmed the province’s commitment to equal participation and inclusive development.
