Philippines to host selection night for Eurovision Song Contest Asia

The Philippines is preparing to select its representative for the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia through a national selection event titled ‘Pili, Pinas: Philippine Selection Night’. The broadcast is scheduled for August 30 at the New Frontier theater in Quezon City.

ABS-CBN, the official broadcast partner, has unveiled ten musical contenders written and performed by Filipino creators. The selection process will be determined by a combination of a professional jury (40%), domestic audience voting (40%), and international audience voting (20%).

The winner of the selection night will advance to the Eurovision Song Contest Asia, which is set to take place on November 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. This event marks the debut of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) television music franchise in the Asian region.
