Philips and Oral-B launch new smart electric toothbrushes

New high-end electric toothbrush models from Philips and Oral-B are entering the consumer market, focusing on smart connectivity and personalized cleaning routines.

The Philips Sonicare ExpertClean 7500 (HX9691/02) features four cleaning modes, three intensity levels, and app integration via Bluetooth. The device provides approximately 62,000 brush head movements per minute and offers a battery life of up to two weeks. It includes a pressure sensor, brush head recognition, a travel case, and a charger, with retail prices starting around 137 Euro.

The Oral-B iO Series 4 utilizes magnetic iO technology to deliver micro-vibrations for a gentler cleaning experience. It includes four brushing programs, Bluetooth connectivity for app control, a pressure sensor, and a two-minute timer. The package typically comes with a handle, brush head, travel case, and charging station. Retail prices in Germany vary by retailer, with some listings starting as low as approximately 72 Euro.
