Philips announces 34B2U5900C ultrawide monitor with Dual Mode

Philips Monitors has announced the release of the 34B2U5900C, a 34-inch curved ultrawide business monitor featuring a unique Dual Mode function. This feature allows users to switch between two distinct display modes via an OSD button: a WUHD resolution of 5120 x 2160 pixels at 120 Hz for detailed productivity work, and a WFHD resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixels at 240 Hz for high-refresh-rate scenarios.

The monitor utilizes a VA panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio, offering a 3000:1 contrast ratio and 350 cd/m² brightness, meeting VESA DisplayHDR 400 standards. To support long working hours, it includes TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Eyesafe 2.0 certifications to reduce eye strain.

Connectivity is a central feature, highlighted by a USB-C port capable of delivering up to 140W of power delivery alongside video and data transfer. The device also includes a built-in USB hub with USB 3.2 ports, an RJ45 Ethernet port, and Calman Ready support for professional color calibration.
