Phoenix Suns announce arena LED upgrade and 2026-27 primetime schedule

The Phoenix Suns are installing a massive new LED display on the exterior of the Mortgage Matchup Center as part of preparations for the 2027 NBA All-Star Game. The transparent display will measure 226 feet wide by 41 feet tall, making it the largest of its kind in the NBA or WNBA. The multimillion-dollar project is expected to be completed by September.

Josh Bartelstein, CEO of the Suns and the Phoenix Mercury, stated the upgrade aims to enhance the fan experience and serve as a downtown Phoenix centerpiece for highlights and watch parties.

Separately, the Suns' schedule for the 2026-27 season features a relatively low number of nationally televised games. The team is scheduled for nine primetime matchups, ranking 20th in the NBA. The first nationally televised game will not occur until January 5, 2027, against the Denver Nuggets.
