Phoenix Suns organizational developments

Overview

The Phoenix Suns are undergoing various organizational and infrastructural preparations ahead of the 2027 NBA All-Star Weekend, which the city will host for the first time since 2009.

In preparation for the event, the franchise announced a multimillion-dollar project to install a massive transparent LED display on the exterior of the Mortgage Matchup Center. Measuring 226 feet wide by 41 feet tall, the display is intended to serve as a downtown centerpiece for highlights and watch parties.

Regarding the 2026-27 season, the team will miss the NBA Christmas Day programming for the second consecutive year. The team’s primetime schedule is expected to be relatively light, with only nine nationally televised games scheduled, the first of which is set for January 5, 2027, against the Denver Nuggets.
