Phu Tho police assist residents in recovering lost funds

Police in Phu Tho province, Vietnam, have successfully assisted citizens in recovering significant sums of money through two separate incidents involving lost property and banking errors.

In Thanh Son commune, local police coordinated with VietinBank to resolve a mistaken bank transfer. A resident, Tran Thi Thuan, reported receiving 140.2 million VND in her account from an unknown source. Following verification, it was determined that Nguyen Thi Oanh from Quang Ninh province had entered an incorrect account number. The funds were successfully returned to the rightful owner on September 29.

In a separate incident, Song Lo commune police recovered 110 million VND found in a cloth bag at a road junction. After conducting investigations and publicizing the find, authorities identified the owner as Khong Van Nghi. The full amount was returned to him following standard verification procedures.
