Phu Tho province retirement policy review
Overview
Authorities in Phu Tho province conducted a review of retirement and resignation policies governed by Decree 178 and Decree 67. The review identified 14 cases where individuals failed to meet specific eligibility criteria.
As a result of the review, eight individuals will continue working, three retired at the standard age, two left via labor contracts, and one transferred to a different sector. No funds required recovery in these instances as payments had not yet been issued.
In one separate case, an error in calculating early retirement years necessitated a financial adjustment. An individual’s early retirement period was corrected from 7 years and 8 months to 2 years and 5 months. While the individual remains eligible for early retirement, the support amount was reduced from over 2.2 billion VND to approximately 1.2 billion VND. The individual has since repaid the difference of over 1 billion VND to the state budget.
