Phu Tho police fine driver for mobile phone use while operating vehicle

Authorities in Phu Tho province have issued an administrative fine to a female driver, Tran T. L. (born 1991), after video footage surfaced showing her using a mobile phone while operating a vehicle. The incident occurred around 3:00 PM on September 6 on the Nguyen Tat Thanh railway overpass in Vinh Yen.

Following the viral circulation of the clip, the Phu Tho Traffic Police verified the violation. The driver faces a fine ranging from 4,000,000 to 6,000,000 VND and a deduction of four points from her driver's license. Reports indicate that upon being confronted with the social media feedback, the driver expressed dissatisfaction, claiming the reporting of her actions was an invasion of privacy.
