Phu Tho province corrects retirement policy errors

Authorities in Phu Tho province have completed a review of retirement and resignation policies implemented under Decree 178 and Decree 67. The review identified 14 cases where individuals did not meet the eligibility criteria for the specific policies.

Of these 14 cases, 8 individuals will continue working, 3 have retired at the standard age, 2 left via labor contracts, and 1 has transferred to a different sector. Because these individuals had not yet received funding, no money needs to be recovered from them.

Additionally, one individual's case required an adjustment due to an error in calculating early retirement years. The initial assessment incorrectly identified the early retirement period as 7 years and 8 months, whereas the correct duration is 2 years and 5 months. While the individual remains eligible for early retirement, the support amount was adjusted from over 2.2 billion VND to approximately 1.2 billion VND. The individual has since repaid the difference of over 1 billion VND to the state budget.
