Physical Education students and researchers present academic works in Argentina

Academic research and presentations regarding Physical Education teaching practices have been highlighted in Argentina. At Universidad Juan Agustín Maza, a qualitative study investigated the teaching conceptions of Physical Education students during primary level residencies. The findings indicated that behaviorism was the most prevalent teaching theory, with direct instruction being the most common style. While many students expressed a pedagogical belief in student-centered learning, this was not consistently reflected in their actual classroom practices.

Separately, students and faculty from the Universidad Gastón Dachary (UGD) participated in the Monumental Congress of Research in Physical Activity, Sport, and Communication held at the Club Atlético River Plate in Buenos Aires. The delegation presented three research projects, including a study on postural alignment and power in young athletes, and an extension project titled ‘Semillero de Extensión’ which encourages students to design interventions for local community issues.
