Physical education and health academic activities in AR

Overview

Academic and professional gatherings in Argentina have focused on physical education, research, and health performance.

Initial activities included the presentation of academic works by students and researchers. At Universidad Juan Agustín Maza, studies examined teaching conceptions among Physical Education students, noting a prevalence of behaviorism and direct instruction despite student beliefs in student-centered learning. Additionally, representatives from Universidad Gastón Dachary presented research on postural alignment and community-based intervention projects at a congress in Buenos Aires.

Subsequent events expanded to include regional symposiums and training programs. The 7th Health and Performance Symposium at the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán brought together specialists to discuss nutrition, training, and the role of physical activity in mental health. Concurrently, the ‘Litoral en movimiento 2026’ program offered workshops for students and professionals covering exercise physiology, adolescent mental health, and aquatic safety.
